The Center of Career Services and Alumni (CCSA) was established in July 2007. The center provides holistic comprehensive career planning services to GUST students and Alumni. By providing expertise, resources, and support, we empower students and alumni to build bridges to their successful future careers. We aim at helping students and Alumni make a successful transition from their undergraduate educational environment to employment or further educational pursuits. The programs and services are designed to increase our students' confidence and provide the necessary skills and information to succeed in the job or graduate school search.
Since Career development and management are lifelong continuing processes, at different times an alumni will assess his/her skills, values, and interests and re-evaluate his/her career goals. If a GUST graduate is looking for a job, considering a new career, relocating to a new city or considering graduate school, the Center provides services to assist. Individual career counselling will be available for those who are looking for new careers or are changing jobs within the same field of endeavour.
The center will also work to establish a mutually beneficial relationship between the university and its alumni; to develop a database of all alumni members with their contacts and addresses; to open and maintain communication with the private and public sectors; and to establish and promote career networks which help job seekers or individuals exploring career opportunities to be "connected" with alumni members who work in their specific areas of interest.
