Instructor in English Language

Gulf University for Science and Technology (GUST) is Kuwait's first private, American-model university. GUST currently offers programs in Arts and Sciences, and Business-including an MBA. GUST is internationally accredited by various bodies including ABET/CAC (Computer Science), ACA (Mass Communication), AACSB (Business), NOSS (Foundation Program Unit) and CEA (Foundation Program in English).

The Foundation Program Unit at the Gulf University for Science & Technology (GUST) seeks candidates for three Instructor positions to teach courses in English Language to ELL undergraduate students to start Fall 2020.

Qualified candidates are expected to:
  1. Have completed all the requirements for their Masters from a reputable international university at the time of appointment in Second Language Education, Linguistics, or English in combination with CELTA or TESOL certification
  2. Maintain an increasingly significant professional and/or scholarly practice
  3. Have at least five years of teaching experience at the university level
  4. Contribute to a standardized program where teamwork is essential

The University is committed to lively teaching, integrating educational technology, and to active research and other forms of scholarship. Candidates must have completed, at the time of appointment, all requirements for their Masters in the advertised fields. Applications will be considered until the position is filled.
