What time do I need to be there?
Graduates must be ready and in campus at 5:00 PM sharp. No one will be permitted after 6:30. No exceptions.
ما الوقت الذي أحتاجه لأكون هناك؟ يجب أن يكون الخريجون جاهزين وفي الحرم الجامعي في تمام الساعة 5:00 مساءً. لن يُسمح لأحد بالدخول لأي سبب من الأسباب بعد الساعة 6:30. .
What time should guests arrive?
Guests should arrive no later than 6:00 PM. No one will be permitted after 6:30. No exceptions.
في أي وقت يجب أن يصل الضيوف؟ يجب أن يصل الضيوف في موعد لا يتجاوز الساعة 6:00 مساءً.لن يُسمح لأحد بالدخول لأي سبب من الأسباب بعد الساعة 6:30.
How long does the ceremony usually last?
The graduation ceremony approximately will be one and a half hours long. It will officially kick off at 7.30 PM. Graduates and their guests will be free to hang around after and enjoy the night.
ما هي مدة الحفل عادة؟ سيستغرق حفل التخرج ساعة ونصف تقريبًا. سيبدأ رسميًا في الساعة 7.30 مساءً. سيكون للخريجين وضيوفهم حرية التجول بعد ذلك والاستمتاع بالليله.
Yes all names will be read and allowed to ascend the platform.

Do I have to wear a cap and gown to the commencement ceremony?
Yes, all faculty and students taking part in the graduation ceremony are required to wear the traditional academic attire for the ceremony.
هل يجب أن أرتدي قبعة وروب لحفل الافتتاح؟ نعم ، يتعين على جميع أعضاء هيئة التدريس والطلاب المشاركين في حفل التخرج ارتداء الزي الأكاديمي التقليدي للحفل.
Where do I get my cap and gown?

Will I receive a cap and gown?
Each graduate will receive:
1. Cap and Tassel
2. Sash (blue for CBA students and green for CAS students)
3. Hoods (for MBA students)
4. Honor Cord (for high honor and honor students)

On which side do I wear my tassel?
Undergraduate students should wear their tassel on the right side of their cap at the beginning of the ceremony. After students are pronounced as graduates, tassels are moved to the left side of the cap.
في أي جانب أرتدي شرابة؟ يجب أن يرتدي طلاب المرحلة الجامعية شرابة على الجانب الأيمن من قبعتهم في بداية الحفل. بعد نطق الطلاب كخريجين ، يتم نقل الشرابات إلى الجانب الأيسر من الغطاء.
Tassel to the right at the beginning of the ceremony.
شرّابة على اليمين في بداية الحفل.
Tassel to the left at the after students are pronounced graduates.
شرّابة إلى اليسار في وضوحا بعد الطلاب الخريجين.
Faculty members and administrators should wear their tassel on the left side of their cap.
يجب على أعضاء هيئة التدريس والمسؤولين ارتداء الشرابة على الجانب الأيسر من قبعتهم.
Please wear your hood as shown in the picture below.

Am I required to attend a graduation rehearsal?
Yes! Attendance for both graduation rehearsals is mandatory. All graduates must attend both rehearsals.
First rehersal will be on Monday the 5th of December at 5:30pm.
Second reherasal will be on Saturday the 10th of December at 4pm on campus.
Anyone who is not present at the second rehearsal will NOT be permitted to participate in the ceremony.
هل أنا مطالب بحضور بروفة التخرج؟ نعم! حضور كل من بروفات التخرج إلزامي. يجب على جميع الخريجين حضور كل من البروفات. البروفة الأولى سوف تكون يوم الأثنين في تاريخ 5 ديسمبر في الخامسة والنصف مساء. البروفة الثانية سوف تكون يوم السبت في تاريخ 10 ديسمبر في الرابعة مساء في الحرم الجامعي. لن يُسمح بالمشاركة في الحفل لأي شخص غير موجود في البروفة الثانية.
For honor graduates, you will get your Diploma during the ceremony.
For non-honor students, you will receive your Diploma after the ceremony from the Admissions and Registrations Office, Degree Audit office.

Will professional photos be taken?
Yes. Four professional studios will be set up to take your photos during the ceremony at the main building center. The studios will be available from 6:00 PM until the end of the ceremony to take individual, group, and family photos. Please make your own arrangements with the studio directly. Kindly note that it's not allowed to bring your personal photographer to the ceremony.
هل سيتم التقاط صور احترافية؟ نعم. سيتم إنشاء أربعة استوديوهات احترافية لالتقاط صورك أثناء الحفل في مركز المبنى الرئيسي. ستكون الاستوديوهات متاحة من الساعة 6:00 مساءً حتى نهاية الحفل لالتقاط الصور الفردية والجماعية والعائلية. يرجى إجراء الترتيبات الخاصة بك مع الاستوديو مباشرة. يرجى ملاحظة أنه لا يُسمح بإحضار مصورك الشخصي إلى الحفل.
Will there be a live stream of the ceremony available?
There will be a professional video recording taken at the graduation ceremony, this will be streamed live on YouTube and Instagram to enable families and friends without allocated seats to see the ceremony. Graduates and guests seated in amphitheater should be aware that they might appear on the live stream and on the recordings.
هل سيكون هناك بث مباشر للحفل متاح؟ سيكون هناك تسجيل فيديو احترافي يتم التقاطه في حفل التخرج ، وسيتم بثه مباشرة على YouTube و Instagram لتمكين العائلات والأصدقاء من دون مقاعد مخصصة لمشاهدة الحفل. يجب أن يدرك الخريجون والضيوف الجالسون في المدرج أنهم قد يظهرون في البث المباشر والتسجيلات.
Will there be a video made of the ceremony?
Yes. A video of the ceremony will be produced by GUST. You will be receiving a full coverage of the ceremony which will include photos and videos, as well as a copy of your graduating class yearbook. This will all be ready for you to pick up along with your diploma.
هل سيكون هناك فيديو مصور للحفل؟ نعم. سينتج GUST شريط فيديو عن الحفل. ستتلقى تغطية كاملة للحفل والتي ستتضمن صورًا ومقاطع فيديو ، بالإضافة إلى نسخة من الكتاب السنوي لفصل التخرج. سيكون كل هذا جاهزًا لتلتقطه مع شهادتك.
When and where will I line up for the procession?
Your designated supervisor will be there to help direct and instruct you on what you need to do. Make sure you are always up to date with you designated advisor. To find out who your advisor is, kindly check the For Graduates page.

Will there be handicapped accommodation?
Yes. For students who are handicapped please make sure to send an email to Mohammadi.B@gust.edu.kw with your name, phone number, and GUST ID as soon as possible so that your needs are taken care of.
