GUST to Host 17th International Federation of Information Processing Conference
Kuwait City, January 2017: Gulf University for Science and Technology (GUST) announces that it will be hosting the 17th International Federation of Information Processing (IFIP) e-Business, e-Services, and e-Society conference. It will take place on campus from the 29th to 31st October, 2018 and will carry the theme “Challenges and Opportunities in the Digital Era”.
The conference will offer a wide platform for theoretical and empirical contributions in areas such as:
- Information Systems
- Marketing and Communications
- Management and Operations
- Public Administration
- Social Sciences
- Computer Science and Computer Engineering
The conference will aim to bring together an international body of scholars and practitioners from varied disciplines to generate and advance the knowledge required to embrace the digital revolution.
GUST will also be organizing a two-day Doctoral Symposium prior to the Conference on the 27th and 28th of October 2018. The first call for papers wave will go out in October and November, this year, and the call for doctoral proposals will go out in February 2018.
In 2016, GUST's Vice President of Academic Affairs, Dr. Salah Al-Sharhan, and the Dean of the College of Business Administration, Professor Antonis Simintiras attended the 15th IFIP Conference, which was held at Swansea University School of Management, where they served as conference committee members, program co-chairs, and co-editors of several conference proceedings.
