The National Youth Project, “Kuwait is Proud”, concluded in a ceremony under the patronage and attendance of His Highness the Amir Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, at Bayan Palace last Wednesday.

His Highness the Amir was welcomed and greeted by Minister of Information and Minister of State for Youth Affairs, Mohammad Al-Jabri, and Amiri Diwan Advisor, Dr. Yousef Hamad Al-Ibrahim.

His Highness the Crown Prince Sheikh Nawaf Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, His Highness the Prime Minister Sheikh Jaber Al-Mubarak Al-Hamad Al-Sabah, Acting Speaker of the National Assembly, Essa Al-Kandari, and senior state officials attended the ceremony.

The ceremony began with a speech by His Highness the Amir, affirming that he was very proud to address the youth during the event, stressing that their efforts will help elevate the country’s status. He commended the youth’s efforts to provide proposals and input to the leadership on the national project “Kuwait Listens”, and noted that he instructed the government to look into the concerns of the youth.

His Highness the Amir called on the youth to continue their approach in building the country through their unique efforts and creative energy, bearing in mind the necessity of carrying on with shouldering this responsibility through national unity and cooperation.

The great development in the domains of technology, science, and creativity, led to the emergence of new economic activities, a development, which required an updated stance to encourage the spread of science and culture in Kuwaiti society.

His Highness the Amir took the chance to announce the Kuwait Center for National Creativity initiative monitored by the Amiri Diwan, which is an entity charged with supporting the youth’s creative output and transforming them into economic projects in line with Kuwait’s Vision for 2035.

The ceremony also screened the “Kuwait Listens” film, and submitted the National Youth Policy Document officially to the Amir, who also distributed prizes to the 2019 Kuwait Youth Excellence and Creativity Award winners.

It was an honor for our students to be part of such a momentous event.
