Math Teaching Assistant for Math and Natural Sciences Dept. (short Term)
Teaching Assistants job includes:
the classroom ready for instruction;
are limited to freshmen and sophomore courses during the first 2 years. Based
on the department?s decision, the TA may assist in a junior/ senior course.
lectures based on faculty request for the purpose of being able to tutor
faculty members with classroom instruction, exams, and other miscellaneous
projects (including assistance with obtaining instructional materials needed
for classes such as textbooks and other teaching resources, e-learning
resources and procedures, labs tutorials, preparing multimedia equipment,
students who need extra support to complete tasks;
faculty member to plan learning activities and complete records;
tutorial sessions, leading discussion sections, and fulfilling the assigned
faculty members in distribution of course evaluations and corresponding with
students on blackboard or related inter-campus communication system during
office hours and assisting with student conferences;
by the Faculty member, the TA may help in tracking the learning outcome of courses;
students with particular needs, working with them individually or in small
in review sessions under the department?s request.
TAs must be present on campus during their colleges? hall exams from 8:30AM to
6PM. Time is tentative to final exam schedule. Each department should arrange
the time distribution for each TA.

Previous teaching experience
Assist in departmental tasks:
o Help faculty prepare course materials;
o Grade homework;
o Participate in various departmental activities as assigned by the Dean; (e.g. Seminars, Social events, student activities, etc.).
Provide feedback to the faculty on student academic weaknesses..
Prepares weekly reports on the number of students tutored
Give occasional review lectures.
Help in proctoring of examinations within the College.
Be available for a minimum of 20 hours for students who need tutoring.
