FPU Holds Orientation for New Students
The Foundation Program Unit (FPU) at GUST held its annual orientation event to brief the incoming batch of freshmen on what is expected of them as students. They were informed of the various support services they have available to them, as well as the rules and regularions they need to be made aware of.
FPU is accredited by the Commission on English Language Program Accreditation, and is recognized by the U.S. Secretary of Education. What's more, the FPU is also accredited by NOSS (National Organization for Student Success), which is a well renowned US-based institution that focuses on the academic success of students by providing professional development for faculty, supporting student learning, disseminating exemplary models of practice, coordinating efforts with other organizations, and facilitating communication among developmental education professionals. It is also important to note that GUST was the first university outside of the United States to receive this distinction.
