The conference addressed the role of the Student Affairs sector in improving the student body’s overall experience from a holistic point of view, and brought all campus constituencies into the discussion. The issue of how Student Affairs remains, for the most part, an extra-curricular component of the student’s education was discussed, and how it oversees the integration of the student in university life. The conference also reexamined the validity of core concepts that student affairs practitioners hold as pillars, such as: engagement, leadership, student confidentiality, among others.
