GUST Students Visit Boursa Kuwait
GUST students from the Portfolio Management (FIN359) course, led by Finance Professor, Dr. Abdullah Al-Falah, paid a visit to Boursa Kuwait this week. The purpose of the visit was to familiarize students with the history of trading in Kuwait, how the market developed over time, as well as the challenges & crises faced and how they were overcome.
The students were able to get an inside look at the recent developments made at Boursa Kuwait, and how their efforts have significantly improved their international ratings and allowed Kuwait to become more attractive to local and international investors.
Following this trip, students will start their virtual trading skills to create and manage their own investment portfolios as their main project for this course.
GUST’s Department of Economics and Finance continuously organizes off-campus trips for students as part of its strategy to increase their awareness of potential jobs opportunities in their industry, which will help them make better decisions after graduation.
