Abstract

This paper defines the components of radio frequency identifiers (RFID). It also explores the different areas and sectors where RFID can be beneficial. The paper discusses the uses and advantages of RFID in deference, consumer packaged goods (CPG), healthcare, logistics, manufacturing, and retail.

 

Short Bio

Dr. Ahmed El-Morshidy is an assistant professor in the Management Information Systems department at Gulf University for Science and technology in Kuwait. He earned a Ph.D. in MIS from Claremont Graduate University, California, U.S.A and an M.A. and M.B.A. from Webster University, St. Louis, Missouri, U.S.A. His research interests include new technologies affecting MIS and online information systems.
