Managing Fees and Refunds

At GUST, we understand that circumstances may arise that require adjustments to course registrations or even withdrawal from the university. We have established clear policies and procedures regarding fee refunds, registration cancellations, and reassessments to ensure transparency and fairness for all students.

Refund and Reassessment Policies

Refund of Fees

No tuition refunds shall be granted for dropping a course after the official withdrawal date, receiving a non-attendance grade, or withdrawal for a disciplinary reason.

Registration Cancellation

Those who enrolled and paid the acceptance fees/advance tuition fees, but do not wish to attend the university may cancel their registration any time before the first day of the semester. Students will be charged KD 100/- as cancellation fees either they cancel their registration or not been registered for any subject during the admitted semester.

Fee Reassessment for Dropping Courses or Withdrawing From the University

A student wishing to drop a course(s) or withdraw from the University should formally inform the Admissions and Registration Department in writing and follow approved procedures. Failure to receive financial aid or refusal of financial aid does not constitute an official withdrawal from the University. Similarly, failure to attend class does not mean a student has dropped a course unless the official documentation has been processed. Reassessments are based on the total cost of the class, and not solely on the amount of fees paid. This is because the University commits resources and reserves space on behalf of registered students that could have been allocated to another student.

Period Deduction

If a student withdraws from a semester or from a course or more after the beginning of classes, the University will charge a percentage on the total fees according to the following schedule below.
