About the Faculty Member

Ahmad K. AlShallal is a scholar and practitioner in the field of Mass Communication & Media, with a focus on advertising and social media content, digital media, and integrated marketing communication. Since joining the Department of Mass Communication & Media in 2020, AlShallal has been at the forefront of exploring the evolving uses and impacts of digital platforms in modern communication. His research has been published in leading academic journals, including Journalism Practice, Communication and the Public and the Journal of Media and Religion, contributing valuable insights to the fields of journalism, media literacy, and public relations. AlShallal holds a Ph.D. in New Media from the University of Southern Mississippi, USA, and earned both his bachelor’s and master’s degrees in Mass Communication Studies from Murray State University, USA, where he also minored in Marketing. He is an active member of AEJMC (The Association for Education in Journalism and Mass Communication), contributing to the advancement of research and education in the field.
