About the Faculty Member

Ahmad K. AlShallal is a scholar and practitioner in the field of New Media & Integrated Marketing Communication, with a focus on digital advertising, AI & social media content and integrated marketing. Since joining the Department of Mass Communication & Media in 2020, AlShallal has been at the forefront of exploring the evolving uses and impacts of digital platforms in modern communication. His research has been published in leading academic journals, including Journalism Practice, Communication and the Public and the Journal of Media and Religion. AlShallal holds a Ph.D. in New Media from the University of Southern Mississippi, USA, and earned both his bachelor’s and master’s degrees in Advertising/Mass Communication Studies from Murray State University, USA, where he also minored in Marketing. Alumnus of executive programs and courses from Duke University, Stanford University and University of California Davis. He is an active member of AEJMC (The Association for Education in Journalism and Mass Communication) and AMA (American Marketing Association) contributing to the advancement of research and education.
