The Design Thinking for Innovation course offered at GUST brought together Computer Science and Business Administration students in an interdisciplinary learning experience designed to prepare them for real-world challenges. The AWS-Powered Capstone Course offered an advanced, interdisciplinary experience that equipped graduating students with the skills to drive digital transformation and innovation in today’s business world. By combining cloud technologies, design thinking, and Agile methodologies, the course bridged technical expertise with creative problem-solving and real-world application.
Students explored a wide range of AWS services, learning to design scalable, secure cloud solutions while applying Agile practices to manage projects with flexibility and efficiency. At the same time, they used design thinking to develop human-centered, business-focused solutions that addressed real industry challenges.
Beyond technical training, the course emphasized responsible innovation, covering ethics, cybersecurity, and data-driven decision-making.
