GUST Library Delivers Talk for Grade 12 Students
As part of its community outreach efforts, GUST Library
Acting Head, Wadhhah Ahmed, was invited to deliver an educational talk for
Grade 12 students at Al-Awael Bilingual School, focusing on the transition from
high school to university life.
The session highlighted a central message for future
university students: greater freedom at university also comes with greater
responsibility. Students were introduced to expectations related to independent
learning, research, time management, and the importance of identifying reliable information.
A special focus was placed on the changing role of the
academic library, explaining how university libraries support students through
research assistance, digital resources, information literacy, study spaces, and
access to scholarly information.
The session reflects GUST Library’s commitment to extending
its educational role beyond campus and supporting students as they prepare for
higher education.
