GUST Library Workshops for Business Students: Research Skills in the Age of AI
The GUST Library was pleased to conduct library workshops for Dr. Sam’s Toglaw classes, 'Introduction to Management and Innovation Management', for introducing students to key library resources and research support services. In response to the rapid growth of generative AI tools, the sessions highlighted Scopus AI as a trusted platform for discovering credible, high-quality academic sources.
The workshops also
addressed the ethical and effective use of AI by discussing how to cite AI
tools and critically evaluate AI-generated content in academic work. In
addition, students were introduced to Emerald
case studies, other business-focused subject databases, and the Library
Discovery Service, along with an overview of the library website’s newly
enhanced structure and recent updates designed to improve access to resources.
The Library looks forward to continued and future collaborations with the
Business Administration Department to further support teaching, and learning.
