Erasmus+ International Credit Mobility (KA171) 2024-1-ES01-KA171-HED-000212980 Staff Mobility for Teaching / Training at Universidad de León (Spain). . .

Presentation

Within the framework of the Erasmus+ program (Key Action 171), the Universidad de León (Spain) has been awarded a grant to fund mobility stays during the 2025/2026 academic year. Under project 2024-1-ES01-KA171-HED-000212980, and in partnership with the Gulf University for Science and Technology (GUST), the Vice Rectorate for Internationalization and Global Engagement of Universidad de León offers 2 grants for academic or administrative staff mobility at the Universidad de León.

Requirements

  • Applicants must be faculty members at Gulf University for Science and Technology.
  • Applicants are expected to be representatives of the Arabic Islamic culture, both contemporary and classical.
  • The following categories will not be eligible:
    • Adjunct
    • Non-PhD contract staff
    • Visiting staff.
    • Technical Research Support and Research Personnel.
  • Applicants will have to fill in a Mobility Agreement before the start of the mobility.
  • Beneficiaries will need to take an accident and emergency insurance that covers the duration of their mobility including the travel days. We recommend the Oncampus insurance for its extensive coverage: https://oncampus.es/seguros/oncampus-pdipas/
  • Every mobility should have the possibility of academic recognition.
  • Mobility must be completed before the end of July 2027.

Financial Support

Each grant will be financed as follows:

  • Individual support: 170 € per day (5 activity days + 2 travel days = 1,190 € total)
  • Travel support: 1,188 €

Duration

The period of stay comprises 5 working days and 2 travel days. Travel days cannot coincide with activity days.

Valorization Scale and Selection Criteria

The Internationalization Committee will review the applications to verify that they meet the required eligibility conditions and include all necessary documentation. In the evaluation process, the following aspects will be considered:

  • The content and expected impact of the proposed mobility agreement.
  • The candidate’s potential and the proposal’s capacity to strengthen institutional relations and academic collaboration between the sending and receiving institutions.

Award Procedure: Once the Internationalization Committee has decided on the allocation of the grants, the resolutions will be published for informational purposes, on the website www.gust.edu.kw.

Additionally, the Internationalization Committee may inform each applicant in writing of the acceptance or rejection of their mobility grant.

Selection and Adjudication

The selection process will be fair, transparent, and documented. Applications will be reviewed by the GUST Erasmus+ Selection Committee, composed of:

The committee’s decision will be recorded in an official selection report, including the scores and justification. The final resolution of the selection process will be announced by December 15, 2025. Selected and reserve candidates will be notified by email. Feedback will be provided upon request

Acceptance or Withdrawal

After receiving the email notification of the decision (with or without a grant) from GUST, the selected staff must confirm their acceptance or withdrawal of the mobility within a maximum of five working days, as indicated in the award notification.
