About the Faculty Member

I was born and raised in the UK. I graduated with a BA in Economics in 1989, and as a result, I had some years of banking experience prior to starting a new career as a language instructor in 1997. Teaching has taken me to Slovakia, Turkey, Saudi Arabia and now Kuwait. I have taught at all levels, from beginner to advanced in all the skill areas at five different, including universities in Istanbul and Ankara, in Turkey. My first experience of teaching in the Gulf was as a Lecturer at King Fahad University of Petroleum and Minerals (K.F.U.P.M) in Al Khobar, Saudi Arabia, where I worked for 6 years. I feel I have benefited from this regional experience in my current position here at GUST. My non professional interests include reading, rugby, rowing, horse riding, Krav Maga and travelling.
