Dr. Omar AlHussainan, Vice-Chairperson and Managing Director of SEEDS Company
Dr. Omar AlHussainan is a Kuwaiti economist, financial strategist, governance advisor & executive leader with extensive experience across academia, corporate leadership & financial advisory. He holds a PhD in Applied Economics and Applied Finance, an MBA in Islamic Banking and Finance, and a BBA in Accounting, combining strong academic foundations with practical executive expertise.
Dr. AlHussainan is a Co-Founder & serves as Managing Director of Ehtikam – Governance and Financial Advisory and Vice-Chairperson and Managing Director of SEEDS Company, where he leads governance, financial consulting, ESG strategy, and institutional development initiatives. He also serves as an independent board member and strategic advisor to various organizations.
In academia, he has held faculty and academic leadership roles in economics and finance, contributing to research, teaching, and the development of future professionals. His expertise includes corporate governance, financial strategy, sustainability, risk management, and business transformation, with a strong focus on advancing institutional excellence and sustainable growth across Kuwait and the GCC region.
