Professor Ayman S. Al-Zayed, President of the Kuwait Technical College
Professor Ayman S. Al-Zayed is a Professor of Electrical Engineering at the College of Engineering and Petroleum, Kuwait University, with over two decades of academic and professional experience.
He holds a Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering from North Carolina State University, USA, an M.Sc. from the University of Hawaii at Mānoa, and a Bachelor of Engineering (Honors) from the University of Northumbria at Newcastle, UK.At Kuwait University, he progressed through the academic ranks to full Professor and served in several senior leadership roles, most notably as Assistant Vice President for Planning, where he played a key role in strategic planning, campus development, institutional performance, and quality assurance systems. In addition, he serves as Vice Chairman of the Board of Trustees of Kuwait Technical College, contributing to governance, strategic direction, and academic oversight.
Professor Al-Zayed has undertaken sabbatical leaves at leading U.S. universities and is a Senior Member of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE). He also serves as a reviewer for several reputable international journals in microwave engineering, antennas, and electromagnetic research. His contributions extend to academic accreditation, national technical committees, and consultancy activities in Kuwait, and he has received multiple honors and awards in recognition of his academic, research, and supervisory achievements.
