Assistant Professor / Lecturer for Education in the English Department

The Department of English in the College of Arts CAS and Sciences at Gulf University for Science and Technology (GUST) invites applications for a full-time faculty position in Education, beginning Fall 2026. The appointee will teach education-related courses at the undergraduate level. The teaching load will be distributed among four courses, based on departmental needs. In addition to teaching and service responsibilities, the faculty member is expected to maintain an active and progressively significant professional and/or scholarly record. Candidates should possess the ability to actively participate in faculty committees and are expected to publish high-quality research in leading peer-reviewed journals. Minimum Qualifications

The ideal candidate must have completed a PhD in Instructional Methods, Educational Technology, or Curriculum and Supervision or a closely related discipline from a reputable North American or European university, with at least three years of teaching experience after the doctoral degree. Candidates should use technology in all aspects of their teaching and possess experience using a variety of online platforms and teaching tools, implement current teaching and assessment of student learning practices, foster a successful learning environment for all students.
