Dr. Fajhan Helal Al Mutairi is the Sustainability Manager for SLB Kuwait, where he leads company wide sustainability initiatives aligned with global ESG principles and Kuwait’s national energy transition goals. Since 2023, he has spearheaded SLB Kuwait’s transformation by embedding the sustainability framework across all divisions, strengthening data discipline, and advancing decarbonization programs, including achieving consecutive Scope 1 & 2 emissions intensity reductions from 2023 to 2024.
During his tenure as sustainability manager, he secured major sustainability funding from SLB HQ to help achieve SLB Kuwait's sustainability targets. Externally, he initiated joint nature based projects with Kuwait Petroleum Corporation (KPC) and served on the KPC Planting Projects Committee. His work additionally reinforced SLB’s Human Rights Pledge through incorporating internal human rights assurance measures into operational processes.
In his role, he has championed workforce capacity building by delivering sustainability awareness, engaging cross-departmental teams, and mobilizing industry partners toward practical decarbonization pathways aligned with Kuwait’s long term climate ambitions. His leadership continues to aim to position SLB Kuwait as a key contributor to both corporate and national sustainability objectives.
