About the Faculty Member
is an Associate Professor of Finance. He earned his Ph.D. in Accounting and Finance from the University of Dundee, United Kingdom, in 2015, where his dissertation focused on market efficiency and volatility spillovers in the Amman Stock Exchange. He also holds a Master’s degree in Applied Finance (with Distinction) from Western Sydney University and a Bachelor’s degree in Business and Financial Economics from Yarmouk University, Jordan.Dr. Alomari’s research interests include financial economics, market efficiency, energy and green finance, financial technology (FinTech), return and risk modeling, and behavioral finance. His work has been widely published in peer-reviewed journals, covering topics such as financial markets, asset pricing, and risk spillovers.With extensive academic experience, Dr. Alomari has served as the Head of the International Accounting Department at German Jordanian University and as a Finance Tutor at the University of Dundee. His teaching portfolio includes courses in corporate finance, investment analysis, financial institutions, and financial technology.Beyond academia, he has worked as a Junior Economist with the Ministry of Finance in Jordan and as a financial broker in the private sector. His expertise in financial modeling, econometrics, and risk management makes him a key contributor to the field of finance and economics.
