Faculty & Staff Member Profile

Joshua joined GUST full-time in January 2024 as a member of the English Department specifically for undergraduate writing courses. He has served on multiple committees in the department including the Grade Appeal Committee, the Events Committee and the Conference Committee. He is an active member of the writing program and specializes in the teaching of English Composition 1 and 2. Previously he served as the Writing Program Coordinator at American International University in Kuwait where he was a member of the School of Education. He was responsible for developing the writing program curriculum and supporting faculty to ensure academic quality across the program. He has also worked as an instructor at multiple colleges and universities both in Kuwait and in the United States. Joshua has a Master of Arts degree in Education with an emphasis in Teaching and Learning in a Global Society from National University in La Jolla, California, and a Bachelor of Arts in Intercultural and Urban Studies from Vanguard University located in Costa Mesa, California. His academic interests are cultural diversity and inclusion in education and cross-cultural communication in educational settings.
