Israa Omran is an Assistant Professor of Computer Science at Gulf University for Science & Technology (GUST). Omran received her B.Sc. and M.Sc. degrees from the department of Electrical and computer Engineering from Kuwait University, State of Kuwait in 2002 and 2006 respectively. She completed her Ph.D. in the Department of Computer Science at University of Sunderland, United Kingdom, in 2013. Her phd thesis and research interest in data access management and security in Networking. Omran joined the GUST faculty in 2013. Omran is a member of the IEEE-Computer society. She had a patent and study agreement proposals with IBM Company.
