Associate Professor of Communication at the Gulf University for Science and Technology in Kuwait, member of the Group of Advanced Studies in Communication, and author of several publications in various international journals. Her research interests range widely from online public relations, social media channels, leadership and public relations competencies, knowledge and skills. As a researcher Dr. Navarro has been involved in different projects, like the European Communication Professionals Skills and Innovation Program, the Cross-Cultural Study of Leadership in Public Relations and the European Communication Monitor. Currently she is participating in the Latin American Communication Monitor, an international research project that monitors trends in communication management and analyzes impacts of global dynamics and media occurrences on Latin American communication departments and agencies. Previously, she has worked in different print and online media as a journalist, and has been consultant in PR agencies for almost 15 years. She holds a Ph.D. in Communication from the Rey Juan Carlos University in Madrid, Spain.
