Ali Yavuz Polat is an Associate Professor at Gulf University for Science & Technology. He received his Ph.D. in Financial Economics from University of Leicester, UK and M.A degree in Economics from Johns Hopkins University, USA. He holds a BSc degree in Industrial Engineering from Bilkent University, Turkey. His research topics include behavioral finance, economic theory, cash holdings, dividends, financial crises, and financial stability. His research has appeared in several Q1 and Q2 journals.
