Ahmad K AlShallal joined the department of Mass Communication & Media in 2020. His research is broadly focused on understanding the uses of mobile and social media content. AlShallal has been interviewed about his field of expertise by news outlets including Kuwait TV, Al-Qabas and Murray Life Magazine. AlShallal earned his bachelor’s and master’s degree in Mass Communication Studies from Murray State University, USA and a Ph.D. in New Media from the University of Southern Mississippi, USA.
