About the Faculty Member

Dr. Ahmet Cemil Yıldırım is a full Professor in Comparative Law, International Commercial Law, and International Arbitration. He holds an LL.B. degree from Yeditepe University (valedictorian graduate), an LL.M. degree from the University of East Anglia, and a Ph.D. degree from the University of Rome II “Tor Vergata”. Since 2010, he has taught graduate and undergraduate courses including “International Arbitration”, “International Business Law” and “Comparative Law”. He served as Vice Dean and chaired the Department of Private Law of the Istanbul Altinbas (formerly Kemerburgaz) University School of Law, where he was also the founding coordinator of the LL.M. Program in International Business Law. He has previously been a visiting professor at the University of Franche-Comté where he taught “International Arbitration”, \"International Sales Contracts\" and “UNIDROIT Principles”, and at the University of Cologne where he taught “Turkish Private Law”. He has authored and edited several books and many scholarly papers.
