About the Faculty Member

In 2019, Carine Zanchi joined Gulf University for Sciences and technologies as Assistant Professor from Jordan where she has been taught at King’s Academy. Before joining King's Academy, she was also a French Instructor at Amman Al Ahliyya University (Jordan) where she developed a special French e-learning program for beginner Arab students. Prior to moving to Jordan, Dr. Zanchi worked as a French instructor at the University of Bahrain before being recruited by the Alliance Française of Bahrain as head of studies for children's courses, and subsequently as director of courses. During this time, she was in charge of teacher training at the center and also the training of French language teachers in cooperation with the Embassy of France in Bahrain, the University of Rouen (France) and the Arab Open University of Bahrain. She obtained her Ph.D. in applied linguistics from the University of Lyon2. In addition, she holds a Master's degree in Middle East history.
