Assistant Professor for Economics in the Economics & Finance Department
Description
The Department of Economics and Finance in the College of Business Administration at GUST invites applications for a full-time faculty position in Economics or any related field to start in Fall 2026. The ideal candidate should hold a Ph.D. degree in economics or finance with an active research record and teaching experience in the following subjects: Microeconomics and Macroeconomics, International Finance, Money, Banking and monetary Policy, Econometrics, Managerial Economics, and Business Statistics. The State of Kuwait does not recognize degrees from online universities.
Minimum Qualifications
The ideal candidate should possess excellent communication skills in English, be ambitious, self-motivated, and hard-working, with the ability to work both individually and as part of a multidisciplinary team where scientific creativity is essential. The applicant must have completed a PhD in economics or any related field from a reputable North American (U.S. or Canada) or European university with at least three years of teaching experience after the doctoral degree. Successful candidates are expected to publish high-quality research in leading peer-reviewed journals.
