Assistant Professor for Professional Writing/Technical Writing/Business Writing in the English Department
Minimum Qualifications
The ideal candidate must have completed a Ph.D. in Composition/Rhetoric/Academic Writing or associated field from a reputable North American or Western European university with at least three years of teaching experience after the doctoral degree. He/she should have a strong commitment to quality teaching, and be active in research. The ideal candidate must be ambitious, self-motivated, and hard-working, with the ability to work both individually and as part of a team. Candidates should use technology in all aspects of their teaching and possess experience using a variety of online platforms and teaching tools, implement current teaching and assessment of student learning practices, foster a successful learning environment for all students. Candidates should possess the ability to actively participate in faculty committees and are expected to publish high-quality research in leading peer-reviewed journals.
Gulf University for Science & Technology (GUST)
Gulf University for Science and Technology (GUST) was established in 2002 as Kuwait's first private American-model liberal arts university and affiliated with the Missouri University of Science and Technology (MS&T).
