GUST Highlights Study Abroad Opportunities
A presentation was held this week for any students interested in studying abroad. The presentation highlighted two fully-funded programs being offered to GUST students, with the goal of providing all the information and answering any questions the students may have on the subject.
The first program was the Global Undergraduate Exchange Program, funded by the U.S State Department, is an opportunity to take one semester at a university in the United States. US Embassy Cultural Attaché, Nelson Wen, gave a brief presentation about how to apply, and the benefits of endeavoring into the program. The presentation was very helpful to interested students and allowed them to gain more insight on what the program entails. The second program is the GUST Summer Scholarship program at the University of Missouri - St. Louis (UMSL) or at George Washington University (GW) in D.C. The 2018 Summer Scholarship recipients gave their own take and description of what can be expected from the program and how the experience went for them. They spoke about the campus, classes offered, nearby activities, and about life in the dorms. The interested students were able to ask questions and gain as much knowledge about the program in order to make the most educated decision.
