The University of Missouri–St. Louis (UMSL) is a public metropolitan research university located in Missouri's most populous and economically important region. It is one of four campuses that comprise the University of Missouri. Accreditation and Recognized Academic Programs
UMSL is accredited by the Higher Learning Commission (HLC) of the North Central Association. This accreditation applies to all baccalaureate, masters, and doctoral levels. Also of special distinction is UMSL’s International Business program, ranked 15th nationally by U.S. News & World Report in 2009.
Academic Program Options
UMSL offers over 90 undergraduate and graduate degree programs. Whether you are interested in business, education, engineering, nursing, architecture, law, medicine, optometry, journalism, science, social sciences, or liberal arts, there are plenty of opportunities to pursue your interests and explore new options. In addition to the university’s accreditation, almost all programs at UMSL have specialized accreditation.

As a result of the close relationship between GUST and UMSL, GUST students are able to transfer up to 60 credits toward a degree program at UMSL. Close collaboration between GUST and UMSL staff facilitate the transfer process for students. Furthermore, many students and faculty have had the opportunity to visit UMSL and can provide GUST students with valuable feedback and advice.
